From her days in the entertainment industry working in Talent Management and Casting, coupled with her groundbreaking work with young women, she expanded her capacity and began coaching women and created the Brilliance Mastery Academy, a platform she uses to coach women entrepreneurs to build an empire from their expertise. Ultimately her goal is to help women build a bridge between their business and living as the highest and best version of who God created them to be. Talk about the biggest failure you've had. What did you learn from it? I realized that if I was going to get to my next level in life, I had to release my limiting belief of not feeling good enough. I had to let go of being so focused on what other people thought about me and what other people said about me. What they thought I should do and be and instead, really begin to define me for myself. When I came to this realization it was back in 1993, while I was in one of the greatest seasons of my life, by everybody else’s definition. I spent years being okay with everyone else’s definition of who I should be and what I should do. When I stopped to define me for myself, it was at a time that I had built an incredible career in the entertainment industry, working for one of Viacom’s largest cable networks, we had an outreach to 89 million homes on a weekly basis. From there I was elevated into a Casting Director position with one of the number 1 television shows on Fox and this job then led me to work on a team of an entertainment group where together what we produced was responsible in generating over 12.6 billion dollars annually. On top of all of that I was going to all the hot Hollywood parties. I was bumping elbows with all the stars and dating a few, but at the same time saying to myself, “I don’t think this is really who I am.” Now don’t get me wrong Hollywood was great. But at the same time, I had this whisper inside of me saying, “Nicole there is something bigger waiting for you” but I had no idea what that was. I remember feeling like I was standing at a fork in the road. A fork that made me look at myself in the mirror and for the first time in my life ask myself, “what do you want?” In that moment, I was willing to become unrecognizable for my future. I was willing in that moment to no longer care what anyone else thought I should be or do and I began to listen to my heart. It was in this place that I discovered my power and my purpose and began to grow me. What keeps you going when things get tough in your business? What keeps me going is my purpose. When I stepped into the realization of my purpose in 1993, it was me finally saying yes to the rumble in my belly and as I did, I felt a fire in me! Like I had flipped on the switch to my own power. This power boost was when I unleashed what I call my fierce. Much like Beyoncé did when she created her alter ego, Sasha Fierce, years ago. It was that Fierce inside of me I unleashed that started me on my path to purpose, power and prosperity.
